I am an extreme novice.....I have a design that I need to resize to fit a new project. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the size I could create my artboards in order to be to scale for this large-scale print. The wall I need to fill is 23.7 Feet Wide and 9 Feet Tall. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I have to make a poster that's 2685mm x 1280mm and will probably be exported at 300ppi, do you know if I can work with an artboard that is 268.5mm x 128mm ? Or is there some other calculation to do?
I tried to export a 2685x1280 .jpeg at 300ppi and it gave this error : "Unable to export at this resolution. please lower the resolution and try again". Understandable because it's huge... 😅
Illustrator supports large canvas size now (200ftx200ft) that should be more than enough.
To activate it, just make a new document and set the units to feet (you can change them back to inches later) and set your artboard size to 20ftx20ft.
Tip: you can literally enter the size of artboards and objects in any transform input box, using feet and inches like this: 24ft 5in
