Add weight to your prompts makes the output so much cooler : r/midjourney

prompts are complicated.
adding weights changes how the AI interprets your message.
Typically I believe it weighs the first item the most and works is way down from there, so if you want two things to be more equal you have to use weights to keep the first thing or things from becoming too much of an influence.
if you want to test the influence of different prompt's one of the easiest way to test is with --seed xxxxxx where xxxxxx is a number from 0 to a lot. If you use the same seed twice without any other changes you should get almost the same result.

100% correct here, I have just found recently though that just simply adding ::2 for example after words in my prompts cause the whole image to come together better. Even if I'm not specifically trying to bring out a certain word I'll add the weight to it. I have gone back to older prompts I did in v 4 and added weight and it looks so much better. For example try just putting "surfing on the moon" in vs with the weights like in this post

I have couple questions: When using "::" and weight number after word should I always use it without commas ("word::2") or It doesn't matter ("word :: 2")? Second question: What is right way to split group of words from another , or "" or () or :: or --
